History

The background for Johannes to work with pig breeding goes back to the time of his grandfather, who was a pig breeder. Later his father took over the pig breeding business and consequently Johannes got interested as well.

He and his wife bought Bøgeholm in 1984. In March 1985 they bought 50 gilts. Later on, in 1990 the herd was expanded to 100 breeding sows, and later Bøgeholm was enlarged to 150 sows.

Today Anita and Johannes have two farms, Bøgeholm and Bredland, with a total of 470 breeding sows.
